Launching Inverroche Gin

THE CHALLENGE The delectable Inverroche Gin desired to gain greater presence among Namibians aligned with its emphasis on handcrafted luxury and upliftment of the natural environment. Yet, reaching them proved to be challenging as our scope was limited due to there being no existing Inverroche Namibia social media pages. For this reason, we at Ogilvy, sought out a custodian who could give a voice to the African alchemy of Inverroche and attract likeminded individuals who have a taste for refinement. THE SOLUTION Our search ended when we found travel creator and storyteller Nikita Rix or @crisp_and_khaki. Her commitment to celebrating and capturing Namibia’s natural beauty, love for African opulence and incredible eye for detail allows her to easily recognise and represent the craft of Inverroche gin. As the owner of exclusive fashion boutique, Solé Ateljee, and as an established travel influencer, she has pre-existing ties to Namibian individuals who will be intrinsically drawn to Inverroche. Nikita celebrated the announcement of her brand ambassadorship, together with the release of her new line of floral garments at the elegant Belvedere Boutique Hotel, in Windhoek. Using the hashtag we created, #friendsofinverroche, Nikita and her guests showcased light and fruity gin cocktails enjoyed at the picturesque garden party, forming the threads of our envisioned network of micro influencers, which we believe will increase the reach of the brand. THE RESULTS The synergy between Nikita and Inverroche is tangible to users. From one influencer, a single day event and eleven posts we had incredible results, that show a highly promising start to Nikita’s role as the fynbos-focused gin distillery’s ambassador.
