Champion Boerewors & Tafel Lager Father's Day Combo

THE CHALLENGE Celebrate this Father's Day with the ultimate Beer & Braai Combo and stand a chance to win exciting prizes!   Push sales by promoting the Champion Boerewors Pack (2022 recipe) and Tafel Lager 6-pack combo in all Shoprite and Checkers stores (main) during competition timelines, in celebration of Father’s Day. THE SOLUTION Tafel Lager is a sponsor of the 2023 Champion Boerewors competition and they wanted  Ogilvy leverage the braai and beer association. THE RESULTS The campaign ran for a month (1 – 30 June) on social media, with additional radio live reads and in-store activations in Windhoek, Swakopmund and Walvis Bay on 17 June 2023, a day before Father’s Day.   By targeting braai Enthusiasts or families that would want to SPOIL their dads with a Combo and potentially win a prize worth N$1600 for their dads in the process, the campaign was received with excitement. The interactions between customers and the activations team, the recorded in-store sales and social media analytics have proven the campaign to be a success.
