Ogilvy Insider Q2

A Warm Hello to Our Ogilvy Partners 😃

Happy 1st of July!

As we kick off Q3, I’m reflecting on what’s been a challenging but energising second quarter in the Red House. The wins, the wobbles, the wild deadlines - we got through it together. Thank you to our amazing team for the optimism, grit and teamwork that carried us across the line.

Paving the Way Forward

In Q2, our Senior Management team joined a dynamic session by Aurik and Pavlo Phitidis on building your scaleup and growth blueprint. It wasn’t just inspiring - it was actionable. We’ve sharpened our 3 - 5 year roadmap and started implementation, backed by courage, clarity, and a healthy dose of guts.

This isn’t just a new chapter - it’s a whole new book.

At Ogilvy Namibia, we’re not following change. We’re shaping it. My vision is clear: to be the most effective and creatively brave agency for brands in Namibia and beyond. That means investing in people, pushing for integrated work that delivers real results, and staying relentlessly relevant.

The future will be won by ideas rooted in local truth, powered by data, and fuelled by world-class creativity - and Ogilvy Namibia is ready to lead.

29 Years Bold

On 1 June, we turned 29 - nearly three decades of ideas, impact, and incredible people. To every client, partner and team member who has walked this journey with us: thank you. You’ve kept our doors open and our purpose sharp.  Happy Birthday to us!

Our 30th is coming in 2026 - and trust us, it won’t just be a celebration, it’ll be a statement. You’ll want to be there.

Speaking Up for the Continent

This quarter, I had the honour, alongside Daisy Silva, our Social Media Manager, of speaking at the 5th African Continental Athletes Forum, hosted right here in Namibia. We were invited by the amazing Gaby Ahrens to share the importance of brand and digital presence with Africa’s top athletes.

It was vibes. Full reel here

A Goodbye with a Tail-Wag

This quarter, we said goodbye to Zeiiva - our beloved office dog and unofficial head of emotional support. From crashing brainstorms to cheering us on with quiet companionship, she was part of the soul of this place.

Rest easy Zeiiva.

Always-On Upskilling

In April, Debbie Rowles led a mind-shifting session for our team titled What It Means To Be Human in 2025. She moved beyond the trend reports and helped us ask the real questions:

  • How do we stay human in a world of AI and automation?

  • What does success even look like now?

  • How do we build brands that foster belonging?

  • How do we protect our people from the burnout loop?

A truly powerful session. Let us know if you want the plug.

New Board Appointment

We’re thrilled to welcome Miriam Kaggwa as our African Board Representative (Non-Executive). Currently the COO of WPP Scangroup PLC, Miriam is a powerhouse with global experience across BCW, Energy BBDO, IPG Mediabrands, and McCann. From revenue growth to company turnarounds, she’s done it all.

Miriam, welcome to the Red House. We look forward to building with you.

Digital Team Update

We’re bidding farewell to Daisy Silva, our brilliant Social Media Manager, whose memes and magic will be deeply missed. Wishing her the best in her next chapter!  Stepping in is Imbuwa Matengu -  bringing fresh energy, local insight, and serious digital muscle. Keep an eye on our feed

A Cannes Catch-Up

What a year it’s been for bold thinking. Some highlights from Cannes Lions 2025 that inspired us:

- KitKat’s Phone Break → Outdoor Grand Prix

- Vaseline Verified → Titanium Lion + Double Grand Prix

- Sounds Right Campaign → Innovation Grand Prix

- Self-Packing Cheese (Nestlé) → Ingenuity over tech flash

- Ziploc’s Preserved Promo → Clever, sustainable retail strategy

At Cannes, one thing rang loud and clear: technology evolves, but the most powerful work is still deeply human.

From Shedding to Shining

As we turn the page on this quarter, I want to share something personal - this year, I walked away from a 10-year chapter of my life. It’s been raw, real, and revealing. But 2025 is the Year of the Snake - and if there’s one thing snakes teach us, it’s this: growth requires shedding. Old skin. Old stories. Old versions of ourselves.  There’s no rebirth without release.

So whether you’re letting go of something big or small - an idea, a fear, a comfort zone - I hope you find the courage to shed what no longer fits. Make room for what’s next. Because on the other side of letting go? Is something stronger, softer, and infinitely more you.

Here’s to shedding, shining, and showing up - brand new.

---

For now, go well.

With all my love,

Megan.
